Supervisory Skills Training Topic - Decision Making
We all make decisions almost every minute of our life. Some decisions are bigger than others, yet all of them impact our personal welfare and workplace productivity. Unfortunately, most individuals have never received any formal training on how to make smarter decisions; therefore, they use a trial-by-error approach or rely on the memory of previous experiences. Often the results aren't bad but are their really the best? In business, success is based on decisions that are well made. This training helps participants better understand how their individual decisions can impact the workplace and most importantly how they can improve their individual decision making process.
Popular Learning Objectives:
- Describe the benefits and draw-backs of using expert advice (their own or other's)
- Explain how decisions affect an organization, based on its structure and internal/external factors
- Evaluate who, what, when, how a decision should be made
- Analyze personal barriers and traps to decision making
- Analyze a complex decision through the use of a process model (two presented)
- Apply group decision making tools when managing employee involvement
